This uniaxial stretching process enhances tensile strength primarily in one direction.
Uniaxial geogrids are typically laid in soil, where the interaction between the grid mesh and the soil creates an effective interlocking mechanism. This structure enables efficient stress transfer, allowing localized loads to be quickly and widely distributed across the surrounding soil mass.
