The steel-plastic composite geogrid is a high-performance reinforcement material made by embedding high-strength, specially treated steel wires into a matrix of polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP), along with other functional additives. These materials are extruded to form high tensile strength composite strips.

The geogrid is constructed by braiding the steel strips in both the warp and weft directions, creating a robust structure with an exceptionally high tensile modulus, especially under pre-tensioned loads. The vertical and horizontal ribs work together to provide excellent interlocking performance with soil, improving load transfer and reinforcement effects.

During the manufacturing process, the surface of the plastic is textured with a rough pattern, increasing the surface friction coefficient between the geogrid and surrounding soil. This design enhances the grid's overall stability and bonding performance in geotechnical applications.

The product also features strong resistance to acids, alkalis, and a variety of chemical substances, making it highly durable in harsh and chemically aggressive environments.
