Steel-Plastic Composite Geogrid is an engineered geosynthetic material designed for demanding road construction and soil reinforcement projects. It is produced by embedding high-strength, surface-treated steel wires into polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP) strips through a precision extrusion process. These composite tensile strips are then welded or woven in both warp and weft directions, creating a grid structure with outstanding tensile strength and rigidity under pre-tension conditions.
The dual-directional ribs work together to enhance soil confinement and load distribution by maximizing the interlock between the geogrid and the surrounding soil. The surface is embossed with a textured pattern during manufacturing, significantly increasing the friction coefficient and improving mechanical bonding with the soil.
With excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, and various chemical agents, this geogrid ensures long-term durability in harsh environments. It is ideal for infrastructure applications such as highways, railways, embankments, retaining walls, and heavy-load bearing subgrades.
