HDPE Geocell, also known as High-Density Polyethylene Geocell, is a lightweight, flexible, and expandable three-dimensional cellular confinement system. It is manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) strips that are ultrasonically welded together to form a durable, honeycomb-like structure.
The width of each HDPE strip determines the height of the geocell, while the welding distance refers to the spacing between two adjacent welds on the same side of the panel when unexpanded.
Zhonglu Geocell is designed for efficient transport and easy installation. It can be folded during shipping and quickly expanded on-site. Once deployed, the geocell cells are filled with soil, gravel, sand, cement, or other locally sourced materials to form a stable, load-bearing structure. This configuration provides strong lateral and vertical confinement, making it ideal for applications such as road reinforcement, slope protection, erosion control, and load support.
