Introduction:

3D geomat is a kind of 3D network structure made of high molecular synthetic material. It is applied to plant and fix soil with loose texture and leaves 90% space to fill earth, sand and stones. Plant roots can go across it, and grow comfortably. Turf after growing can let mat, grass and earth be combined together firmly. Plant roots can deep 30-50cm under the land surface, so it forms a layer of solid green composite protecting layer.

Three dimension vegetation 3D geomat is a new typed seed planting material with 3D structure, which can protect the ground surface being corroded before the turf is growing up, and fix the seeds.The compound protection layer formed after the grass grows up can endure washing by high level and high speed water. It can be a substitute of the concrete, bitumen, stone etc to be the slope protection material. It has mainly been used in highway, railway, river way, embankment, hillside etc.

1.Does grass grow through erosion control blankets?
Yes, the erosion control blankets are highly effective for growing grass on steep slopes when it would otherwise be challenging to do so.
 

2.How to Use a Seed Blanket Over Existing Grass

STEP 1: Prepare the installation area by leveling the area, removing debris, or seeding.
STEP 2: Dig a 6" x 6" trench at the top of slope and place the blanket in the slope. Blankets are typically pulled about 12" past the trench.
STEP 3: Staple anchor the blanket to the bottom of the trench.

3.What if the slope is relatively steep and the tension of the three-dimensional net is too small?

If the slope is relatively steep, in order to increase the pulling force, the Erosion Control Mat can also be used with a layer of glass fiber grid.
