The steel-plastic composite geogrid is manufactured using high-strength steel wire that undergoes special treatment. Polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), and other additives are extruded to form a composite high-strength tensile strip. The geogrid's load-bearing capacity comes from the interwoven high-strength steel wires arranged in warp and weft directions, which provide an exceptionally high tensile modulus under prestressed conditions.
The vertical and horizontal ribs work together to maximize the locking effect between the grid and the soil. During production, the plastic surface is textured with a compressed rough pattern, enhancing the surface roughness and increasing the friction coefficient between the geogrid and the soil. Additionally, the product exhibits excellent resistance to acids and various chemical substances, ensuring durability in harsh environments.
