Geocells are advanced geosynthetic materials designed for soil stabilization, erosion control, and load support applications. Made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), polyester, or other polymer materials, geocells are three-dimensional, expandable panels formed by interconnected strips.

During installation, the panels are expanded into a flexible honeycomb-like structure, and then filled with soil, gravel, sand, or other infill materials. Once compacted, the geocell system creates a free-draining, confined matrix that prevents lateral movement of the infill, enhances load distribution, and increases the overall stability of the ground.

By providing tensile reinforcement and confinement, geocells significantly improve the mechanical performance of weak soils and reduce erosion in slopes, embankments, roadbeds, and channels.
